Giants receiver Roger Lewis arrested, faces OVI charge

Giants receiver Roger Lewis was arrested early Sunday morning for allegedly operating a vehicle while impaired, TMZ Sports reported.

Police pulled over Lewis in Reynoldsburg, Ohio, east of Columbus, claiming he was speeding and the windows in his vehicle were illegally tinted. TMZ reported that during the stop police say they smelled marijuana and that Lewis appeared intoxicated.

Police also found an unidentifiable liquid in Lewis’ car that was sent off to be tested. If it’s an illegal substance, Lewis could face more charges.

“I know he could help us out tremendously,” McCoy said, via ESPN.com. “I’ve been doing my recruiting already, and don’t be surprised if it happens.”

Jordan Schultz of the Huffington Post reported Sunday the Bills are in “preliminary talks” to sign Maclin.

Though McCoy hinted he knew something everyone else wasn’t privy to yet, he backtracked just a touch, explaining that nothing is imminent with Maclin’s status.

“That would be cool to have another weapon on the offense,” McCoy Houston Texans Cheap Jerseys said. “But you never know. A lot of things would have to work out for that to happen. You know how the business goes.”

The Bills could use another wide receiver after losing Robert Woods and Marquise Goodwin to free agency this offseason. Plus, Buffalo’s current projected starting wide receivers — Sammy Watkins and rookie Zay Jones — have injury concerns.
